Dara is yet to give an official comment on the engagement.
Edoardo proposed to Beatrice in September of this year, meaning she will be the first among the young generation of royals to take on a stepchild.
A Buckingham Palace statement announced the couples engagement in September.
The royal started dating the Italian property developer last year.
Beatrice and Edoardo said of their 11-month romance in a statement: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.
“We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married.
“We share so many similar interests and values, and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.’”
The couple’s engagement photos were taken by Princess Eugenie in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Princess Beatrice is set to wed Edoardo in 2020.
She hosted a party for her fiancé’s 36th birthday at Annabel’s last Tuesday.
