After a jam-packed midseason finale that featured a betrayal, a back-from-the-dead return, and much more, fans of ABC’s How to Get Away With Murder on Cloud Nine. Many are eager for the show’s return in a few months, which will see the series cap off its final season.
‘How to Get Away With Murder’ is in the middle of its final season
How to Get Away With Murder just aired its midseason finale last Thursday. It featured a bombshell reveal as the Keating Five learned that there was a mole amongst them. The mole turned out to be Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry).
The actor spoke about his character’s demise at-length in an Instagram post, saying in part, “
A major character returns
The end of the episode saw the return of Wes Gibbins, portrayed by Alfred Enoch. The last time the character was seen was during the midseason finale of the third season, in which we saw his badly-burned and charred body. Everyone has assumed Wes was dead, so it’s no telling how the show will be able to explain this return. There are several explanations floating around, including the fact that this may be a dream sequence or that Wes may have a twin.
Neither of those seems to be more or less plausible than the fact Wes really isn’t dead, so we’ll truly have to wait to see in order to find out the truth.
‘How to Get Away With Murder’ is back in the spring
The final season of the series will continue on April 2, 2020. Fifteen episodes were ordered for the sixth season of the show, so with nine episodes having already aired, there will be six episodes left when the show comes back.
According to a release from ABC, the cast gathered for the fall finale table read last week as well, so fans, fasten your seat belts because we’re in for a ride!
